For over a decade we have been honored to have the expertise and renowned skills of Dr. Tan, acupuncturist and Doctor of Oriental Medicine. She was the Chief Physician at First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan College of Traditional Medicine (1988-1999) and specialized in acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Dr. Tan has personally trained many acupuncturists from around the world through a program sponsored by the World Health Organization.
Due to Dr. Tan’s expertise in the treatment of addictions, Ingham and Eaton Counties in Michigan invited her to start H.O.P.E. (a holistic program using acupuncture and nutrition for addictions). (click here for more information)

She is the author of the recently published and highly acclaimed acupuncture book, East Meets West, and has co-authored two textbooks on acupuncture and herbal medicine that are used throughout China.
Dr. Tan is married to physician and acupuncture faculty member, Dr. Li. Their son, Dr. Ming Li is currently completing his residency at Mayo Clinic.
